SFAC is a student-led committee that reviews and recommends how the Chancellor spends Student Services Fee revenue each year. The application is open to all first year students, second year students, and first-year transfer students, but those who take an interest in Student Affairs, Finance, Budgeting, and allocation of student fees are especially encouraged to apply for the position.Position Description: The Transfer Student Representative (only current first year Transfers may apply), Junior Student Representative (only current second year Sophomores may apply), and Sophomore Student Representative (only current first year Freshmen may apply) positions all continue until graduation. As a member of SFAC, student representatives are expected to share their opinions on campus-related project proposals and provide insight on student fees allocations from an undergraduate perspective. As such, we expect student members to provide insight or changes regarding the funding proposals we receive that have the potential to make positive change for the UCSB community.
Note: SFAC representatives may not serve as Associated Students (AS) senators or executives during their time.Time Commitment: SFAC meets once a week in the Fall quarter, and twice a week in the Winter and Spring quarters. Meetings do not exceed an hour, however, representatives may be given additional tasks to complete throughout the week which also should not exceed two hours total per week. The selected students will receive a quarterly stipend for their service with SFAC. The application deadline is Wednesday, May 5 at 11:59 PM PST.If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the SFAC chair, Michael Zargari, at mzargari@ucsb.edu.https://forms.gle/Si3b61PeJ95EqusY9 ← LINK TO APPLICATION
