UCIV Volunteer Program

UCIV, a student-initiated, volunteer program established by Associated Students (A.S.) Public Safety Commission at UCSB to facilitate public safety and well-being and to impact culture change in Isla Vista, sending volunteers to the streets of Isla Vista on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the academic year.

Volunteers serve as mediators to help prevent conflict, promote peaceful interactions between public safety officers, Isla Vista residents and visitors to the community, all while supporting culture change. Volunteers provide information, staff hydration stations, assist those in need, and encourage residents to comply with noise regulations to avoid citations.

UCIV is currently seeking sponsors, team leaders, student coordinators and general volunteers. To learn more or to become involved with UCIV, visit the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/UCIslaVista/.
