UC International Student Advocacy Conference
Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 10 AM – 5 PM
Given that both pantries are closed the week of the 14th, the UCSB Food Security and Basic Needs Taskforce will be doing a pop up produce pantry for food insecure UCSB students on Wednesday, September 16th. We will be focusing on fruits, veggies, and some grain (e.g. rice/pasta).
Please sign up below if you would like free groceries on:
Wednesday,
September 16th, 2020
5pm-7pm
at the UCSB Food Security and Basic Needs Advising Center (Also called the “SNAC”)
(at the UCen, next to Jamba Juice, across from Storke Plaza).
This is open to all current UCSB students and their families who are experiencing food insecurity.
If you are showing any signs of illness, please do not come to the distribution and instead, please sign up for deliveries for people who are sick or immuno-compromised: https://forms.gle/sxpJYL7X2BDwqYN27
Please come wearing a face covering and please help us to ensure that everyone stays at 6ft distances. We will have sneeze guards around distribution tables, distancing markers, sanitizer for use at the distribution, and our staff will also be following safety guidelines.
If you are an international or undocumented student, please note that this program does not trigger public charge rules and no data is reported in a way that could affect public charge.
UCSB students will be asked to share their student ID/perm number below. Family members/dependents of UCSB students will not need to report their name. Instead we will just ask for the number of people in the family.
It is ok for a non-UCSB student who is sharing a household with a UCSB student to pick up the groceries. In this case, we ask the non-UCSB student to be able to provide the name and student ID/perm number of the student they live with in order to pick up groceries.
Student ID/perm numbers will be used to identify demographic and financial metrics on participants to report broad statistics about the group of students we are serving and to evaluate total versus unique participant counts of the community the UCSB Food Security and Basic Needs Taskforce serves. No data specific to individuals will be shared outside this program.
If you have any questions, please reach out to kcmaynard@ucsb.edu or visit http://food.ucsb.edu/ and use the chat box in the lower right hand corner.
