Earthy AS Department of Public Worms. UCSB’s student-run, student-funded, onsite composting.

Associated Students Dept. of Public Worms is dedicated to promoting environmentally sustainable practices and educating fellow students about hot composting, vermicomposting, and closed-loop food systems.

We believe these practices are excellent ways to reduce the pressure of waste on landfills, improve landscapes and gardens, and reduce the use of synthetic & artificial fertilizers.

We highly value hands-on experience and aim to get our community involved first-hand through educational demonstrations and outreach events.

Welcome to the Department of Public Worms
