Here are the times for my office hours this quarter:
Monday: 12:30-3pm in AS Main
Tuesday: 12:30-1:30 in the AS Pardall Center
Wednesday: 12:30-2:30 in the AS Pardall Center

Please feel free to drop by if you have any questions or concerns in regards to my office or local affairs. My office is also always looking to collaborate on new community projects, so send any ideas my way! Welcome back to Associated Students Media Center Workshop Wednesdays!

We begin the year with:

Flyer Design with Chelsea Lyon-Hayden, this coming Wednesday 10/16, 3 to 4 p.m. Learn how to create a flyer using Adobe software and free alternatives. Will cover how to incorporate basic elements of graphic design like composition, type, color, and imagery.

Students, Staff, and Faculty welcome! All workshops meet 3 to 4 p.m. in the AS Annex, Building 434, Room 141H right next to the Storke Tower bike circle. More info at: mediacenter.as.ucsb.edu. Spread the word and bring friends!

Get to know AS Staff. Once a week, in alpha order, we’ll intro you to an AS staff member. This week, meet KCSB Advisor Ted Coe.

He advises 91.9 KCSB-FM’s Executive Committee and KCSB-FM student and non-student volunteers.

Campus committees: KCSB committees/subcommittees; A.S. and KCSB hiring committees.

What can he do for students? He advises on a range of concerns: KCSB operations, volunteer coordination, organizational development, special-projects/events coordination; community and public relations, promotions and marketing (especially through written and online-platforms); radio production; public-service programming and announcements; media/entertainment industry careers; and community-media issues.

What other duties does he have? A.S. awards committee, philanthropic giving, budget preparation assistance for student organizations.

Where is his desk? 1055 Storke Communication Building (under Storke Tower).

When is a good time to drop in? Monday afternoons, most any time on Tuesdays-Fridays, but preferably email or call for an appointment, as meetings or other duties might take me away from his desk.
