Free Bagel Days!
Don’t have time to make your own food during finals week? Well, there will be free bagels at the Multicultural. Center (MCC Lobby), beginning at 7:30 AM until 5 PM on Monday(12/09) and Tuesday(12/10). Bagels will be refilled every hour until we run out of stock! And don’t worry, we’ll have cream cheese(vegan option, too) and toasters available for use.
First come, first serve! Good luck with finals, gauchos.
FAQ: I need to print out flyers for my organization. I need to print my final project. Can AS help me?
AS Publications is a great resource for students. They can print almost anything for cheaper than any other place on campus or in Isla Vista. They are located on the first floor, down the hall from AS Program Board.
Get to know AS Staff. Once a week, in alpha order, we’ll intro you to an AS staff member. This week, meet Eric Fredricey – KCSB FM Chief Engineer
Who does he advise? KCSB staff, station volunteers (students and community), yearly KCSB assistant engineer
What can he do for students? train, educate and assist with professional broadcast techniques / best practices, station operations, volunteer engineering opportunities (minor projects), multimedia production, general live media (tv included) broadcasting procedures and to have fun with a great form of communication
What other duties does he have? Help students to understand KCSB independent radio is a community legacy, emergency information release medium, legitimate form of communication and as a creative outlet.
Where is his desk? KCSB engineering room, next to KCSB in the stroke communications plaza courtyard. room 1029
When is a good time to drop in? Check the engineering room (1029) or the station (room 1025 / 1015) and if not, that means he is up at the transmitter site making sure the region can hear KCSB. If you need to schedule a meeting, email or call ext. 3921.
