Office of the Controller

The Office of the Controller acts as a consulting body for the following Associated Students’ Units: A.S. Bike Shop, A.S. Cashiers, A.S. Community Financial Fund, A.S. Publications, A.S. Ticket Office, A.S. Legal Resource Center, and any new services which may be developed by the Sub-Committee. This committee serves as a recommending body for the aforementioned groups to the Senate and the A.S. Executive Director.

The Office of the Controller is also a part of the President’s Cabinet and serves as a recommending body to the President’s Office on financial and business-related decisions. The office functions as a liaison between A.S. Business Managers, student employees, Senate, and executive leadership, helping ensure effective communication and coordination across all entities. In addition, the office connects A.S. business units to appropriate resources for special projects and operational needs. It provides analytical and consulting support to assist business entities in making informed decisions, including evaluating alternatives, financial feasibility, and long-term impact.The office also actively seeks proposals for new business enterprises or ventures and serves as the recommending body to the Senate for all proposals related to future A.S. business initiatives.
