Hey UCSB!!

My name is BreYanna L. Carter and I'm a first year Sociology and Feminist Studies double major. I would love to serve YOU as your next University Owned Housing Representative.

Through my experiences in the Summer Transitional Enrichment Program (STEP), and as a resident at Santa Rosa Hall, I have gained knowledge regarding issues that directly affect students here at UCSB. I am a person who wants to make a difference on this campus and serving YOUR needs would be great! I have collaborated as well as been a part of campus organizations such as: Office of Judicial Affairs, Peer Education Program (PEP), Black Student Union (BSU), Akanke, and Gospel Choir.
Campus Needs that will be my main priority:

Making sure OUR money is spent on US
Establishing a SAFER environment both ON CAMPUS and in ISLA VISTA
Holding Isla Vista Foot Patrol accountable
Stressing the importance of being consciously aware of MINORITY ISSUES
Fighting to keep OUR SERVICES and expressing the importance of student initiated programs like: C.L.A.S, Student Health, Multi Cultural Building, and the Student Resource Building
Ensuring a more DIVERSE, a more UNIFIED, and more INCLUSIVE campus.

Most importantly, I will fight for OUR rights as student and will listen to YOUR concerns, YOUR ideas, YOUR plans, and actually get things DONE.

Alfredo E. Del Cid - Democratic Process Party (D.P. Party)

Hello Fellow Students,

I'm Alfredo Del Cid and as part of the Democratic Process Party, I believe in accountability and transparency within Associated Students. I am running to be your next University-Owned Housing Representative.

As a first generation student that transferred I know the challenges that we face when coming into the UCSB community.
I am part of the UCSB Rowing Team and I know how important is to maintain a healthy lifestyle and find the time to do so without affecting every other part of our life as students.
Being part of communities that historically have been marginalized and discriminated I have worked with organizations such as QSU,QCOM and SCORE being an outspoken advocate for equality and accessibility, acknowledging that UCSB is a diverse community and must create safe spaces for all regardless of ethnicity, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

As your Representative I will:

Create a clearer line of communication between the residents and the leadership so messages, suggestions and complaints do not get lost and necessary action is taken.
Better guidance tools for incoming transfers and freshmen.
Hold weekly "town hall" meetings between the residents and myself to listen to their concerns.
Accountability for the way Student Fees are spent.
Listen to what YOU want and what YOU need instead of making decisions without real student input.

So if real transparent and accountable action is what you want then vote Alfredo Del Cid and let's get to work!
