Streets to Beach – Deltopia Cleanup

Sunday at 11 AM – 1 PM

Join us for an afternoon of post-Deltopia karma on Sunday, April 9th, “Streets to Beach: Deltopia Cleanup!”

Every year, 8 million metric tons of plastic end up in our oceans, which equates to five grocery bags filled with plastic for every foot of coastline in the world. 100,000 marine mammals are killed by ocean trash annually, in addition to millions of birds and fishes.
And last year, here in IV, 3,247 lbs of trash were collected following Deltopia, with 410 buckets filled over 419.5 combined hours.

In one day, we hope to clean the streets of IV of trash before it makes its way to the ocean, while learning tools to prevent future waste production and employ proper disposal. Help make our community clean, safe, and beautiful!

Presented by Coastal Fund and Adopt-A-Block.
