In addition to presiding over the Senate, the president pro-tempores fulfill a number of other responsibilities. In consultation with the Internal Vice-President, for example, the 1st president pro-tempore chairs every and any Ad-Hoc committee that arises, as well as Senate legislative and legal counsel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-text-color\" style=\"color:#12385f\">1st Senate President Pro-Tempore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">The president pro-tempore (often shortened to 1st pro-temp) is the second-highest-ranking official of the Associated Students Senate. Unlike the Internal Vice-President, the president pro-tempore is an elected member of the Senate, able to speak or vote on any issue.
