The Associate Director for Media Services is responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of station broadcast operations. The Director provides continuity and constituency to a 24-hour experiential learning environment. KCSB-FM, a Class B station, operating at 91.9mHz, with 620 watts broadcast at approximately 4,000 feet, serves a tri-county coastal audience, with public service programming. KJUC-AM is a closed carrier current station programming to the on-campus residence halls. KJUC serves as the initial training ground for students and community members. Both KCSB and KJUC are largely managed and operated by between 220-260 student and volunteer staff.

The Associate Director for Community Affairs is responsible for organizational management, leadership development, the Community Affairs Board, Academic Affairs Board, Commission on Disability Access (CODA), Americorps and Service Learning. Primary focus is on the ASUCSB Community Affairs Board (CAB) to ensure program continuity, community networking, campus collaborations, student development, project design, and training initiatives. CAB is an official board of the Associated Students serving as UCSB's Volunteer Action/Service Learning Center dedicated to providing students access to community service work and promoting the ethics of public service. The Associate Director for Community Affairs ensures University and Associated Students policies and procedures are followed in all student programs, activities, and events. Serves as the campus contact person for California Campus Compact, a nonprofit organization dedicated to community service leadership for institutions of higher education in which the Chancellor maintains membership. A.S. contact person for Americorp and Service Learning.

The Associate Director for Student Programs is responsible for the direction, organization, evaluation and implementation of a main program area within Associated Students; AS Program Board, and for the functional areas of AS Map, AS Student Directory, Herstory, Isla Vista Tenants Union, Queer Student Commission and Women's Commission.
Primary responsibility with Program Board for the Associated Students Department involves responsibility for overseeing the development, operation, presentation, and/or supervision of all AS Program Board student related multi-function programs and events including full programmatic responsibility for complex campus-wide activities.
The Associate Director for Student Programs supervises the publication of the AS Map and Visitors guide, AS Student Phone Directory, Herstory and A.S. Brochure. Supervises the Student Government Advisor. The Associate Director serves as primary advisor for the Isla Vista Tenants Union, Queer Student Commission and Women's Commission assisting in the setting of departmental goals and works to ensure program continuity among the functional areas.

Administers annual A.S. audit and production of year-end financial statements, annual inventory of fixed assets, computation of depreciation, revenue and expenditures tests and chart of accounts. Primary liaison with outside auditor in compilation and completion of financial statements. Serves as primary payroll reviewer for career staff of Associated Students, including: reviews employee timesheets, compiles work-study payrolls, reconciles Associated Students payroll reports, and provides payroll documentation for yearly audit. Compiles internal payroll reports, calculates payroll account balances and payroll projections for all units of Associated Students. Oversees key areas of Human Resource management including Associated Student's employee orientation, benefits. Trains and supervises the Accounting Office Coordinator and the A.S. Accountant.

Ensures networking between the environmental groups on campus to encourage collaboration and avoid duplication of efforts. Assists groups with the A.S. budgetary process and regularly reviews accounts with the Chairs of each committee and the A.S. Accountant. Oversees the fiscal management of the Shoreline Preservation Fund within the guidelines of the A.S. Legal Code and A.S. Financial Policies and Procedures and monitoring of projects funded by SPF grants.

Responsible for centralized weekly backups of A.S. computers. Provides information/resources on all appropriate software applications, licensing, and upgrades, necessary in maintaining the day-to-day computer operations at the Associated Students. Designs and administers Department web site. Evaluates and maintains site and consults with staff and students to develop web site materials and train students in routine maintenance of area pages. Makes recommendations to the Executive Director regarding software and hardware needs, latest software developments, license agreements and general technology issues for the department.

Bike Shop in accordance to its mission statement to provide high quality bicycle repair and safety education to the students, faculty, and staff of UCSB.
