In order to request funding from Queer Commission you need to provide a budget and present a proposal on the event/project you are requesting funding for. Prior to requesting, you must get on the meeting agenda the day before the meeting. Ideally you would also send your budget via email the day before as well.
Come to the meeting with 7 copies of your budget to pass around. Budgets should list a description of your event and its relevance to our queer community or QComm's mission. Your budget should list out detailed line items and the amount of money you intend on spending on each, adding up to the total you are requesting. Also if you are receiving funds or intending on applying to other funding sources, list those as well.
Present your budget, answer any questions Queer Commission members have, and the decision as to whether your project is funded will be made that night.
Finance board meets on Mondays at 4:00 in the State St. Room of the UCen. In order to request funding you need to submit your budget by the Thursday before you'd like to request by 1:00pm. Submit your budget on the Finance Board website: http://www.as.ucsb.edu/financeboard/

Your group should have a specific liason member of Finance Board that should help you out, this liason is listed on the finance board website.
