Parking

To make it safer on Del Playa and Sabado Tarde, all cars parked on the street must be off the street by 3:30pm on Friday, October 30 until 8am on Sunday, November 1. Cars parked in violation will be towed. The Halloween designated on campus parking lots will open at 3:00pm on Friday, October 30. Keep in mind you only have 30 minutes to move your car from the impacted areas to the designated on-campus parking lots.

  1. If your car has been towed, please stop by the Isla Vista Foot Patrol office (6504 Trigo Road in Isla Vista) with your license plate number. They can tell you which tow company has your vehicle.
  2. UCSB and SBCC students who reside in Isla Vista may apply for a Halloween parking permit to park on campus. To order this special permit go to the TPS website: http://www.tps.ucsb.edu and click on the Halloween icon. The permit is $15 pre-ordered and $25 after October 16th, 2009. The permit is valid for on campus parking until 7:00am on Monday, November 2, 2009.
  3. Individuals without the special Halloween permit will not be allowed to park on campus and will have their cars cited and towed.
  4. Night and Weekend Permits and off-campus housing permits will not be honored on any University owned property.
