Overview of discussion (not necessarily in order of occurrence)

ACTION ITEM REPORTS/DISCUSSION

- Pan-denominational invocation

A reading of a quote by Ann Rand.  The moral, in this room nobody is perfect and no one is expecting anyone to be perfect.  When you withhold your opinions and input you do the group a disservice.  What you have to say matters.  Not knowing everything about something is no reason not to contribute.

1. Introductions, rules, preliminaries, etc (2:05-2:10)

2. Sam - DAW adaptive sports night update. (2:10-2:15+) Got the Recreation Center Gym for Thursday night 5 – 7:00pm.  Thinking of having an LA wheel chair team come up.  What about having members from the UCSB basketball teams to scrimmage against the LA team?

3. Elisabeth – Wants to see adds show up a couple of weeks before the DAW.  Jeremy: Will you be submitting articles to the Nexus and perhaps the local papers to advertise the week? She will be organizing a banner and flyer party with pizza in the CAB office.

4. Chris - DAW speaker nights update. All evening events are set.  Stand by for a flyer that will be designed to go out to professors.

5. Ali - DAW update.  Look for list of DAW needs coming out in email. The most important section of the list is the list of needs.  Do we want to do T-Shirts?  Yes!  We need to design our daytime events.  Contact Ali and give her some input.  Our week will be going on during student elections.  Thanks everybody for working on this.  We have the date for the community speaker’s panel.  Who do we want to have on the panel?  Would any of you like to speak?  Any questions?  Edward will get DSP stats.  Talk to professors.  Get the flyers out.  Condense and bring in facts sheets for tabling.

6. Eric - Website ideas. Will work on design options and bring in proposals.

7. West - Radio program update. See handouts.  Email West with the top 3 segments that you would like to participate in.  West expects that each person will participate.  He will be producing the program next quarter but will not be attending the CODA meetings.

Next weeks Facilitator West, radio productions officer
