Overview of discussion (not necessarily in order of occurrence)

- Komal (AS Leg Rep) checks in regarding ramp access on campus.  Proposes a wheelchair day to increase awareness of campus travel.  Have student leaders from legislative counsel spend a day in a wheel chair.  What about collaborating with our DAW? Utilizing the wheel chairs we would have on campus for a tabling event.  Having an orientation for the students that are going to be in the chairs would be wise (i.e. Putting some guidelines in place, this isn’t for fun, can’t get out of chair)

- Chris won’t be here next week.  We need someone to take minutes. WEST WILL TAKE THE MINUTES NEXT WEEK.

- Sedgwick Preserve – someone to call open a discussion with Michael Williams, Director, Sedgwick Reserve, thank him for the invitation? WEST WILL DO THIS.

- CALPRIG Water contamination thing.  Does anyone want to go and talk with Erin Dean [erin101lav@yahoo.com]? SCOTT WILL DO THIS.

follow up and let us know how we can help.

5)     ADA  proposals update – Ali and Chris

The meeting with Linda went well.  We submitted 7 proposals and may submit 3 more.  The meeting had a spirit of “what else can we do” if our items are not necessarily appropriate for the ADA fund monies.  It appears our ideas will be heard/seen by the other ADA committee members.

6)     Funding: AS/OSL requisitions/Lock-in/etc. - Jeremy, Scott, and Ali

- lock in fee discussed with Komal and Jewel.  Komal said she will help us to draft a proposal. Ali offered to help.

7)     Open forum ...

Jean expresses her gratitude for the adapted changes made to the main computers in the library.  “Thank you CODA for your support.”   Dr. Gerber had a significant influence in getting this done.  He contacted Diane and motivated the change.  Jean was considering legal action.  Dr. Gerber advocated for her.  Faculty has influence!
