Overview of discussion (not necessarily in order of occurrence)

1.      Dr Singer joined us.  He is interested in helping out, interested in what CODA is doing, and interested in the state of services on campus.

2.      Put lock-in fee on the agenda for next week.

3.      ADA project/CODA items list handed out. Chris to meet with Linda, Diane and Joe Harkins

  1. West brings up the court case re: the gentleman who was arrested and jailed for not appearing at court.  The building was not accessible and he had previously crawled up the stairs on a previous date.  This may be a win for the disability rights movement.
  2. West – we need to look at the universities responsibility independent of the ADA fund.

4.      Ali – What about the lock in fee that is earmarked for the DSP.  Are these monies being used to fund services that are already mandated?

5.      OSL update - Jeremy and Scott – We now have access to monies for events, room reservations, etc.
3)  Funding - Jeremy and Scott will look into it.
4)  PR ideas/brainstorm - Sam
5)  Radio program – The offer is still good for Spring quarter.  Vicki would like to meet with a couple of people from CODA to go over programming, and the generalities, etc.

6.  Disability awareness week – Ali passed out a list of what to expect for the event.  THINK about where you would like to be involved.  Perhaps we should form a subcommittee that would meet separated of our regular CODA time.  There is a black binder in the CAB office that has info from last year..
7.  Adapted sports at UCSB - how can CODA help design this program? - Chris
8
.  Wheelchair basketball event at the Jan. 17th, 2004 Womens Basketball game.
9.  Check in with Eric and Elisabeth re: officer positions
. Eric accepts.  Elisabeth accepts.   Hurrah!

10. James - There is an OSL leadership conference on the 22nd of January.  This would be an opportunity to promote CODA.  What about disability awareness at this event?
