A.S. Recycling is pleased to present the 9th Annual Green Awards for 2007-2008.

The Green Awards is an evaluation of each department's effort in reducing waste and conserving energy. I encourage you to fill it out here.

This evaluation asks questions about each individual's recycling and energy conservation behavior. It also educates ways to make your department greener. Please let the questions guide your department's sustainability efforts. Green Awards helps us gauge where we need improvements, and compares UCSB to other campuses. We need everybody's help to keep UCSB at the top.

Last year, 40% of departments filled out the survey, making it the most competitive year ever. The winners were:
1st: Geography
2nd: Computer Science
3rd: Office of Student Life
Environmental Studies and Bren School are retired from the competition and receive honorable recognition.

Survey deadline will be May 3rd. Winners will be announced on May 12th.
