Route Rider
- Would you like to work outside and set your own schedule? Route Riders take out our fancy bikes to collect recyclables from the outdoor clusters, and take them to the dumpsters. Must be: responsible, hard working, willing to work in all weather conditions, able to lift 50lbs and communicate well.
- Route Riders also diversify the route worker duties and assist the program in its outreach efforts,. One route worker incorporates education of the campus community into his or her responsibilities, specifically with respect to issues involving recycling procedure, Bertha contamination and overall student awareness of recycling habits
- Hours available: 8-12 hrs./wk Starting wage: $8.75/hr
Maintenance Worker
- Looking for a dependable and “handy” person with basic knowledge of bike repair to keep our equipment in shape.
- Hours available: 8-10 hrs/wk Starting wage: $9.25/hr
Eucalyptus Grove Development and Restoration
- Must have knowledge or great interest in gardening/landscape to work on development of a Sustainable Gardening/ Composting Demonstration site. Position requires both outdoor labor and indoor product research. Must be dependable.
- Hours available: 8-10 hrs/wk Starting wage: $9.25/hr
Vermicomposting Coordinator
- Must have knowledge or great interest in composting to work on experimental composting program where worms eat our organic waste. Position researches composting methods and has direct responsibility for the care of the worms. Labor intensive position. Must be dependable.
- Hours available: 8-10 hrs/wk Starting wage: $9.25/hr
Outreach Coordinator
- Outreach Coordinators assist in developing programs to educate the campus and community about waste reduction and recycling. Outreach Coordinators may be making presentations to local schools and collecting data for the yearly green awards. Must be responsible, dedicated, creative, and have knowledge of the importance of recycling.
- Hours available: 10-12 hrs/wk Starting wage: $9.25/hr
Program Coordinator
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and willing to make a long-term commitment to the program. Those with experience in recycling issues, who have supervisory skills and organizational abilities are encouraged to apply. Must be have exceptional people skills and good future insight.
- Hours available: 10-18 hrs/wk Starting wage: $9.75/hr
